The Swap Meet is almost here!

It’s been another busy week!  It seems that Spring is back, hopefully it will stick around for awhile!  Our Cruise-Ins have been fun, and we’re hoping for great weather for tonight as well!  As usual, please bring a chair, and your favorite food and beverages!  Otherwise, we’re here just to relax and most likely discuss cars!
The Swap Meet is just around the corner!  We’re partnering with Hoosier BMWCCA for this event, which will be held here at Reggie’s Motorworks on Saturday, April 28th, from 9am-2pm.  For a list of what will be here that we know of so far, check out last week’s post.

This week we had a beautiful 2008 BMW 335i in the shop to have rotor hats painted, to have headlights refurbished, and to diagnose a “clink” in the door when closing it.

Such a pretty bimmer!

Also in the shop, this1993 BMW 325i cabrio.  Oh, by the way, we have a new technician working with us named Sam!  We are happy to have him on the team!

This 3-series cabrio had quite a bit of work done!  Here are just a few of the things that Sam took care of: oil service, replacing steering gear, replacing the clutch pressure plate (which includes removing and re-installing the transmission, see below), replace guibo and front driveshaft, replace output flange seal and shift shaft seal, replace transmission mounts, replace throttle body gasket to repair coolant leak, etc.  She was picked up yesterday and is ready for some spring driving!

Sam also worked on this 2001 BMW X5 4.4L.  This bimmer had quite a laundry list too, just to get her safely back on the road.  After an oil service, brake fluid service, diff fluid, new belts and tensioners, fixing a coolant leak, transmission fluid and filter, new guibo, valve cover gaskets and spark plugs, rear sub-frame mounts, new cabin air filter and intake air filter, and a few other odds and ends, she’ll be ready to roll!

Now that the 7-series is running beautifully, there are just a few last details to address before her owner drives away with a refurbished 733i.  One item on that short list is a driver’s side seat module.  This part was a super-tricky one to find!  Luckily, a contact in Ohio had one and shipped it overnight to us!  No one wants to drive with a crooked seat, right?  Right!

Hopefully the weather will be perfect for a Cruise-In tonight!

Have a great weekend!
