It’s a beautiful fall day! And the shop has been busy again this week! Let’s jump right into things! A big thank you to Reggie for taking photos for me this week! 🙂 Tonight’s Cruise-In is tentative…Reggie does plan to hang out for a bit this evening.
John replaced the heater core and spark plugs in our e34:
This ’91 325i is in the shop for some rust repair work. Before we get to the heart of the issue, let’s take a look at what was found while the main project was underway:
Eeek! Additional surface rust! How did this happen? At some point, brake fluid had run over the frame rails, slowly eating away at the paint and undercoating. As you can probably guess, this area will need to be fixed since the metal is exposed to the elements.
Here is a time lapse video of the rust repair on the passenger side floor pan – please note that this our first attempt at a time lapse feature. We’ve got a few little kinks to sort out, but we’re excited to bring more of these videos to the mix!
