A Look at Carmel Artomobilia 2016!
Welcome to the Reggie's Motorworks blog! We're so glad you're joining us! This week we'll be taking a look at Carmel Artomobilia 2016! This event falls in late August each year, and, as usual, it's expected that it will be a hot day. However, this year, it was a soggy, rainy, then sunny and very hot day! Would I sound crazy for saying that I didn't mind the rain? Before you answer, please allow me to explain. When you photograph something year after year, in the same venue, it can start to get a little routine. Mix in some rain drops, some umbrellas, and some soft gray skies, and, well, it gets my photographer heart all giddy! Furthermore, when we arrived at the event, it was pouring. Cats and dogs. Parking for spectators was scarce. When I finally found a spot, the rain had stopped, and my boys and I went on our merry way to check out the cars. And as luck would have it, it didn't rain again until we were enjoying lunch inside along Main Street! The show was still a grand success, and, to my knowledge, nobody melted.
