Back from Auburn

We hope everyone enjoyed a nice holiday weekend!  We ventured up to Auburn, Indiana to check out the cars up for auction and to see all the goodies in the Swap Meet (note the e21 rear wheels on the golf cart……we had a lot of people asking about this “mod”).
We were hoping to see a 2002 to give us some inspiration on our own project…and we were in luck! This ’72 2002 tii was a very nice restored car:

We also saw a rather rare 1972BMW 3.0 CS Coupe for sale in the Car Corral.  (This photo was taken with a cell phone, so the quality is not too great.)

As we wandered through the cars up for auction, we saw this…….you be the judge…..supercharged LS6 (GM) powered e36

This week in the shop, we’ve finished stripping the 1973 BMW 2002, and had it hauled off, along with our hornet car.  Unfortunately, Reggie and Sean ran out of time to get this hornet on the track for the summer, and have decided to focus their time on the cars that are already up and running.

Have a great weekend!  Don’t forget about Windy City BMW CCA’s  Vintage Fest coming up next Saturday, September 19th!  We hope to see some of our fellow enthusiasts there!
