Bimmers in a Winter Wonderland

It’s been another cold, snowy week here at Reggie’s Motorworks with a few bimmers waiting to get inside where its warm.

And a few that are happy to be inside already:

The zinnoberrot 1988 325 seen above was in for some work under the hood, including:

  • valve adjustment and valve cover gasket replacement
  • e30/M20 tune-up including new spark plugs, distributor cap and rotor, and fuel filter
  • oil change
  • replace odometer gears
  • replace check panel

We also retrofitted some super cool HID headlights. This is the original headlight bulb:

And the fancy new HID bulb, in its very own secure traveling case, which is removed prior to installation.  It’s very important not to handle the bulb itself with your fingers.

Reggie mounted the HID unit’s transformer to the headlight trim panel by drilling a few holes and securing it in place with zip ties:

After securing the bottom end of the wiring, it was ready to be installed:
