What beautiful weather we’ve had the past few days! Warm, sunny, perfect summer days! Last Friday we had a great turn out for the Cruise-In, and we met some new local enthusiasts! So we’re excited for this evening! As usual, please bring something to throw on the grill if you wish, some beverages, and a chair! It’s going to be a great night! Come on by at 6pm. ***Please note: We may have to relocate tonight’s Cruise-In! If so, Reggie will be here at the shop to direct you to the new location. We’ll also try to put an update on Facebook and twitter.***Here’s a look at last week’s Cruise-In:
The S50 swap car was here!
And this 1984 Mazda RX7 came by. What a cool car!
Check out the radio! I believe this car is for sale…if you’re interested, let us know and we’ll contact the owner!
We’ve been cruisin’ at high speed this week at the shop, with tons of various projects. Let’s take a look!
The 1983 BMW 320i got a little cleaned up. And would you believe the A/C works? As in almost blows ice cubes?!
Jordan adjusted the ignition lock cylinder so that the steering wheel lock didn’t engage while driving the car — a temporary fix until we get the new ignition from Germany.
Jason has been working on getting this 1986 BMW 528e back on the road. He’s replaced the cylinder head and installed a new windshield.
Reggie replaced the cam bolts on this 2005 BMW M3. This required removing the vanos. The cam bolts are known to “back out.”
This cracked belt was also replaced:
Last week we were getting ready to remove the old engine from the 1968 BMW 2002. And you got to take a peek at the new engine – rebuilt at the factory with only 5k miles on her! This week, the engine bay was spruced up, cleaned up, and touched up a bit. I’m looking out the window here from my desk, and the new engine seems to be inching her way closer to her new home. 😉 Let’s see how things have progressed up to now, shall we?
Reggie and Jordan make sure there is proper clearance before lifting the engine out of the bay:
A final check under the engine bay to make sure everything is ready:
After some cleaning and a little touch up on the paint around the rails, here’s what she looks like: To see more, click here!
See what I mean? She’s sneaking her way closer right now! In fact, I’ve got to go photograph the installation RIGHT NOW! Stay tuned….
Have a great weekend!
