After a stormy, windy past couple of days, the sun has finally come back out, as if to celebrate the fact that it’s Friday. We’ll be heading to the Cruise-In this evening, and we hope you can join us! If you read our mid-week post a few days ago, you learned that Park Street Pub is hosting a Halloween party tonight, complete with prizes for best costume, ghostly decorations, live music, and more. So come in your favorite Halloween attire if you so desire!
Are you ready for some updates on our 1986 BMW 325 swap project? I hope so, because this week has been big! We’re finally getting at the heart of the matter, the heart of this project! Let’s take a look…
Removing the old headers…
…to make room for these shiny new ones!
Reggie positions the engine under the car before lowering the car body. This way was much easier than if he were to “drop” the engine into the engine bay from overhead.
It’s very important to check the positioning of the engine while lowering the car body. Care was taken every few inches to make sure there was plenty of clearance.
Getting closer…
A view from above:
She’s in! Yesss! Reggie is hooking up various wires and hopes to get started on installing the front suspension. We love progress!
Another look at the pretty new headers!
We’ll be back with more, as usual, next week! And don’t forget about the 1994 530it that we have for sale! Please send us an email to make an appointment for a test drive.
Wishing you a Happy and Safe Halloween!
