Happy May!

Happy Friday!  Thanks again for making our 2nd Swap Meet a success!  And a huge thank you to Hoosier BMW for partnering with us for this event and for providing lunch!  It was a rainy day, but we had a full parking lot and plenty of indoor space to set up bits and parts for sale!

It has been another busy week here at the shop.  I know I sound like a broken record, but it’s true!  And we couldn’t be happier about it!  We are looking forward to saying thank you to all of our customers and friends for their support at our upcoming Open House on Saturday, June 16th!  As usual, we’ll have food, prizes, and, of course, cars!  Then if you want more car stuff to do that same weekend, join us the following day, Sunday, June 17th, for the car show at Forest Park here in Noblesville!  More details to come!  And don’t forget about the Cruise-In on Friday evenings here at the shop starting at 6pm, weather-permitting!  ***UPDATE: There will NOT be a Cruise-In tonight, May 4th.  Please stay tuned for upcoming events!  Thank you!***

Let’s dive right into a few of the bimmers that were in the shop this week!  This 2001 BMW X5 was brought in for a post-purchase inspection.  She was due for her 100,000 mile scheduled maintenance, including oxygen sensors and spark plugs.  She also got an oil change, a new rear left window regulator, a new front right power door window motor, front and rear brakes, front control arms, and front turn signal bulbs.  This sharp X5 is ready for the road!

Next up is a 2007 BMW 328xi.  After an oil leak and a replaced crank seal, she wouldn’t start after being driven a half mile.  She came to us on a tow truck and will get some much needed diagnostic work.

We also have a 1986 Porsche 944 in the shop.  We’re diagnosing some engine noise and “flapping” coming from the timing belt.

It is difficult to see, but there is a hairline crack around where the dipstick connects to the transmission oil pan of the 1989 BMW 325ix that we sold.  That’s right, the ix has found a new home!

Reggie cleaned the area to prep it for soldering:

We got the Camaro parts back from powder coating!  Now we’re just waiting on the transmission to be shipped here for installation!

This 2001 BMW 330i was running sluggishly and was in limp mode.  Diagnostics are in order!
