Ready for Spring

Hello there!  We’re back with another edition of the blog, a little slice of what goes on here in Noblesville, Indiana at Reggie’s Motorworks.  And this week, we’ve got some fun stuff to share!  Do you need some new wheels?  We can help you find what you need!  Are you looking for parts for your favorite bimmer?  We’ve got a Swap Meeting coming up!  Just want to see some cool cars?  You’re in luck because we have some of those to share too.

In just a few short weeks, we’ll be hosting our 3rd annual Swap Meet in partnership with Hoosier BMW.  We’re looking forward to it!  Here are all of the details:

When: Saturday, March 29th from 10am-2pm.  Sellers will be able to start setting up at 9:00am.  This will be an outside event unless the weather puts us inside. If we are inside, limited space will be available on a first come first served basis.

Items to sell:

– BMW, VW, Audi, Mini, Porsche, Mercedes, etc. parts and accessories
– Wheels
– Tools
– Manuals
– Automotive inspired art
– “Man Cave” items- Memorabilia
– Die-Cast cars
– Racing gear, helmets, roll bars, fire suppression, etc.

Even if you don’t have anything to sell, come on by! Bring some cash if you think you may want to take something home. This week has been crazy as far as the weather.  Wednesday we had temperatures in the low 70s…and Thursday we had a couple inches of snow.  Yes, snow.  Again.   The Baur came out of hibernation for the day to enjoy the sunshine.

Seeing the stickers on the window makes me even more excited about The Vintage coming up in May!  They celebrated their 10th anniversary of the event last year,  and since going to our first one back in 2010, we’ve known it’s going to be on our calendar each year!  Stay tuned for details about a local caravan heading to North Carolina for this awesome event!  Need a little convincing to plan a road trip in May?  Here are links to photos from our previous trips: 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013.

However, spring is just around the corner.  And what better way to enjoy spring and summer than with a convertible!  We mentioned this e30 cabrio a few weeks ago, and she’ll be available soon.  She’s getting prepped and ready for spring weather.  Convertible specific H & R Sport springs with Koni Sport shocks and struts to be exact.  She’s a 1989 325i with an automatic transmission.  #DirtyVerty!

Another cool car that was here on such a beautiful day was a 2011 Porsche Panamera 4S.  She got an oil change and was on her way!  (Not pictured)

Next up is this 1998 BMW M3 in cosmo schwarz metallic.  She came in for a new valve cover gasket.  And what makes this bimmer even more special is that it changed hands from one of our great clients to another.  How cool is that?

 

 

 

Did you notice this next ride in the background of one of the photos above?  Good eye!  This ’71 Hemi Challenger is in to have some finer details sorted out.

 

 

 

This sweet 1974 BMW 2002tii in granatrot metallic was just purchased by her 2nd owner last week.  She was sold in an estate sale after the 1st owner passed away.  She’s been sitting for the past 18 years, and still has the original title from the Bronx in New York.  Her interior is in great condition, and the dash is crack-free.  Amazing!  We’ll be working on getting her running and mechanically sound.  Her new owner plans to keep her as a survivor, with no plans for any modifications.  She’ll get cleaned up a bit, including some new tires.  And with that, she’ll be a wonderful ’02, ready for the road!  In case you were wondering why there are so many images of this next bimmer – and for just about every ’02 that we’ve had in the shop – I just love photographing them!  I find them so very interesting and just fun and wonderful to photograph, that a few images turns into several.  With each one, I always find something that is unique about them or something that I learn about them along the way.
