Welcome to a special edition of the blog! Before we get to photos from our trip, mark your calendars for our 9th annual Open House coming up in a few short weeks! RSVP and get event details on our events page!
We had a fantastic time in Asheville, NC for The Vintage! We drove in a fun caravan of modern and vintage bimmers in nearly perfect weather. On Friday we had a flat rear right tire, just like last year in the 6-series, and it rained the whole day, ruling out our plans for driving in the mountains. Despite the rain and flat tire, Reggie had a great birthday! Thank you to all of our friends for making it a fun day! The Vintage's main event took place in Hot Springs, just north of Asheville, and was the biggest turnout yet with 450-475 cars! Amazing! With mountain views and so many awesome cars, it was quite a sight! Thank you to Scott for organizing such a cool event, one that continues to grow each year! We can't wait to go back next year! We heard about some awesome graffiti in the River Arts District in Asheville. The rain broke enough for us to get some photos before heading to off to registration.
Saturday's weather was a mix of clouds, light rain, pouring rain, and intense sunshine! Luckily, we were at lunch in downtown Hot Springs during a heavy downpour!
On Sunday, we ventured back through Hot Springs to see a blacksmith who was working near a coffee shop on the side of the road. We purchased a hand-forged dinner bell, which Remington loved to ring when we showed it to him! Tony, the blacksmith, also made us a custom plant hook and a basket made of poplar bark with a hickory braided handle. Pretty cool!
And as we walked back to our car, this motorcycle parked next to us!
We had to stop for a photo with the pretty wild poppies!
Thank you to all those who have protected and served our country. We'll be closed on Monday, May 30th in observance of Memorial Day.
Thank you for joining us on the blog! Have a great holiday weekend!
