The Case of the British Invader: 1967 Austin Healey 3000

Happy Friday!  Today is a special day!  5 years ago, we welcomed our first son, Remington, to the world!  He is full of energy, creativity, enthusiasm, stories, and love!  He has become obsessed with frogs and toads and animals of all kinds, including a wealth of knowledge about dinosaurs and prehistoric creatures.  To say we are lucky and blessed to have him would be an understatement.  Earlier this week, we surprised him with a trip to Columbus, Ohio to see one of his favorite animal enthusiasts, Coyote Peterson!  Happy 5th Birthday, Remington!  We love you so much, and wish you an epic day!

And now for some happenings around the shop this week!  First up, a 2006 Porsche Cayenne.  She came in for diagnosis of transmission concerns. 

A bi-annual service was on the list for the sleek 2006 Mercedes SLK280 in benitoite blue: 

Over the past few months, we've been so excited and honored to welcome our intern, Andy!  He's learning all that he can in his time with us, 2-3 days per week for 3 hours.  What a wonderful experience it is to work alongside Noblesville High School in partnership with Ivy Tech and this fantastic program!  Welcome, Andy! And keep up the good work!!!  He's pictured below working with David on the black sapphire metallic 2007 BMW 650i to diagnose oil leaks and to replace the upper timing cover gaskets. 

This would also be a great time to give a shout out to Brandon, our shop helper! He learned so much from John, and has been doing a fantastic job of keeping the shop in tip top shape! Thank you for all that you do, Brandon!!!

Diagnosing engine noise and runability issues on this 2011 328xi was in order for this black sapphire metallic bimmer.  The exhaust VANOS adjuster was replaced, as well as the valve cover gasket.  In addition to a bi-annual service, a brake fluid flush was performed. 

A 130,000 mile service was performed on the platinum gray 2014 VW Passat TDI: 

Moving right along to this charmer, a 1967 Austin Healey 3000.  Wait, what?!  This is a British automobile.  While we typically do not service British vehicles, the owner is a long-time MINI Cooper client of ours.  This British beauty came in for replacement of the fant belt, replacement of the front sway bar link bushings, repair of oil leaks at the valve cover gasket and rear axle seal, lubrication of the chassis, and replacement of rear brake drums and shoes.  Cheerio!

Starting issues brought this titansilber metallic 2003 BMW 330Ci to our shop: 

Let's chat about this Dakar gelb II beauty for a moment, shall we?  She's a 2001 BMW Z3 with 3.0i and only 56,000 miles on the odometer.  She came in for a new oil filter housing gasket, a new valve cover gasket, diagnosis of an air bag warning light, and for repair of power steering leaks.
