Happy Friday! We’ve got some updates for you on the 2002 project! Before we get to that, let’s take a quick look at some other bimmers that were in the shop when I stopped by!
Our new lift looks great after all of Ernesto’s hard work in restoring it!
This 1996 BMW 318ti in alpinweiss III came in for a new key with light, removal and replacement of front speakers, and installation of an aftermarket radio:
A post-purchase inspection was on the list for this pretty 2003 BMW Z4 in maldives blue metallic. She got a new engine air filter, new guibo and new Michelin tires. She also had 3 bent wheels that were straightened, an alignment, and reconditioned headlights.
An oil change and new spark plugs were on the list for this 2005 BMW 530i in schwarz II:
Speaking of oil changes, this 3 series had one as well:
Nick took some photos of water damage at the power supply/fuse block under the passenger seat of a 2003 530i (not pictured). This water damage caused electrical issues with all of the exterior lights:
Wires had also been cut and spliced into the light assemblies (see below). The e39 also had a faulty lower steering coupler, making steering quite stiff.
Do you or someone you know need a set of wheels? This set of 4 are for sale! Give Nick a call in the office for details! 317.773.0074
And now for more on the 2002 project. Final details are being wrapped up, and her owner arrives this weekend to take her home, where he’ll install the interior and do a few other odds and ends.
John finished up the battery installation:
A temporary seat was installed to allow the ’02 to be moved around:
Wheels were mounted:
Ernesto did a fine job polishing the air flow meter:
And Reggie polished the radiator brackets:
After double-checking to make sure everything was connected and ready, it was time to turn the key! It took a few turns of the key and some new fuel, then she started right up! We’re excited to see her when she comes back! More on that coming soon…
After waiting so patiently, Remington sat behind the wheel! He was in awe of this car.
He even found the gear shift! 😉
Thanks for tuning in! Have a great weekend!
