We’re at The Vintage!

Today is a great day!  Besides arriving via caravan of vintage and modern bimmers, today is Reggie's birthday! Happy Birthday, Reggie!!! What better way to celebrate than with a weekend full of historic BMWs from all over the country!  This marks our 7th year attending this awesome event, and we can't wait to share more with you soon!

On May 7th, we hosted an educational event here at the shop called Car Maintenance 101.  Reggie spoke about the importance of preventative maintenance and much more.  We received wonderful feedback, and we're excited to host more events just like this in the future! Thank you to all those who attended!

Since we're on the road, this post will be a quick one!

We've been fortunate to have some really cool cars in the shop! We love this 1968 BMW 2002!  She's a chamonix beauty who now has a new differential to address a whining noise at road speeds.

Pictured below on the right is a sapphire black 2006 BMW 525i who came in for her biannual service, which includes an oil service.

Next, this sweet 1987 zinnoberrot M6 came in for deletion of the self-leveling system and lowering the car with H & R Lowering Springs and Bilstein Sport struts and shocks.  She got new shock mounts and bump stops, as well as an alignment.  The brake master cylinder was replaced and a brake fluid flush was performed.  The hydroboost system pressure hose was replaced.  The A/C system was diagnosed because it was not blowing cold.  This bimmer, which has had a number of Dinan parts installed over the years, has just over 63,000 miles on the clock and has been with its current owner for 25 years.

Speaking of The Vintage, Reggie was getting the 1991 M5 ready for the road!  Aside from a thorough cleaning of the engine bay, she got new Michelin Pilot Super Sports and a new B & B exhaust! She sounds fantastic!

Since our last blog post, we've acquired a new 2002.  Well, she's not really new, a 1970, but she's new to us!  As we were driving yesterday, I asked Reggie what plans he had for the roundie. He said he is going to borrow a few odds and ends and salvage the A/C.  He continued to say it wouldn't be logical to fix her up, but that he wasn't always logical. Stay tuned to see what's in store for this ol' bimmer!

Would you believe that she was fitted with Remington tires?

Mark your calendars for our 9th Annual Open House on Saturday, June 18th!  This event is just one small way we try to show our sincere appreciation for our wonderful customers, friends, and supporters!  As always, we'll have food, prizes, and a show 'n shine.  Stay tuned for more details!

That's a wrap!  We'll be back soon!  Have a great weekend!
